PUBLIC NOTICE
Mont Road Reconstruction – Temporary Road Closure
Dear Residents and Members of the Public:
Edwardsville Township is notifying the public that Mont Road will be closed to through
traffic beginning Monday, September 14, 2026, through Friday, November 20, 2026, for the
Mont Road Reconstruction project.
CLOSURE PERIOD: SEPTEMBER 14, 2026 – NOVEMBER 20, 2026
The closure will extend from just east of the Mont Road intersection with Old Troy Road
east approximately 1,900 feet to the Township’s eastern maintenance boundary.
Access to properties located within the construction limits will be maintained. Residents
and visitors should expect construction activity, temporary access adjustments, and
delays throughout the project. All other traffic should use alternate routes and avoid the
work zone.
The work includes full-depth pavement reconstruction, new concrete pavement
and concrete shoulders, drainage and ditch improvements, and replacement of existing
crossroad culverts.
The closure dates are subject to adjustment due to weather or unforeseen construction
conditions. Edwardsville Township appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while
these improvements are completed.
